Serving Veterans Through Hospice Care

America’s veterans have done everything asked of them in their mission to serve our country and we believe it’s never too late to give them a hero’s welcome home. That’s why our Hospice is taking part in the We Honor Veterans program. Our staff understand the unique needs of veterans and are prepared to meet the specific challenges that veterans and their families may face at the end of life.

We have embraced our mission to serve America’s veterans. It’s our way of saying thank you for the sacrifices they have made in serving us.

We Honor Veterans, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the Veterans Administration, is designed to help meet the unique needs of dying veterans. The program utilizes respectful inquiry, compassionate listening and grateful acknowledgement — to comfort patients with a history of military service and possibly physical or psychological trauma.

U.P. Home Health & Hospice is proud to partner with the Veterans Administration to offer care to our country’s veterans.
